The National e-Learning Policy (DePAN) and Malaysian Education Development Plan - Higher Education (PPPM PT) have laid the organizational structure as one of the main pillars and have outlined that each IPT needs to have a fixed e-Learning team. Centre for Academic Development (CADe) through the 27th Teaching and Learning Committee Meeting (JKPP) agreed to set up the Universiti Putra Malaysia e-Learning Committee (JKeP UPM).
To ensure e-Learning implementation can cover the whole community of UPM, the appointed JKeP UPM members are:
academic staff who are directly involved in the affairs and development activities of e-learning at the faculty, OR
academic staff who are experts in the affairs of e-learning implementation in the faculty.
The Terms of Reference of JKeP UPM is as follows:
Plan, coordinate and monitor the implementation of e-Learning in UPM;
Provide clear e-Learning policies and guidelines for suitable reference of lecturers, students and KPIs;
Monitoring and implementing continuous e-Learning system improvements;
Controlling, monitoring and improving the quality of teaching and e-Learning content, and;
Help to plan for infrastructure, resources, training and e-Learning related support.
