Implementation Plan of Academic Staff's CPD Programme

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) addresses the need for lifelong and continuous learning. The primary objective of CPD for the academic community is to maintain and enhance existing technical and professional skills in order to better meet changing responsibilities and expectations.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme for UPM’s academic staffs has been implemented by the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) through the Centre for Academic Development (CADe) in collaboration with the Registrar’s Office since 2007. This programme uses a structured learning approach to train and improve competency level of academic staff in implementing teaching and learning, teaching and supervision, and also professional services. The CPD programme covers five major scopes which are teaching and supervision; e-Learning innovation; research and publication; leadership development, talent and academic professionalism; and professional services.
